Introducing The Shift
By Mark Perera
The procurement operating model is shifting.
Not slowly. Not theoretically. In real time.
Across conversations with CPOs, one pattern keeps resurfacing: the limits of category-led procurement are becoming more visible just as AI-driven workflows are becoming viable.
That tension — between how procurement has been organised and how work now needs to flow — is what prompted The Shift.
The Shift is a Buyers x Builders roundtable series designed to help procurement leaders navigate the move from category-led structures to workflow-led execution in an AI-enabled world.
The format is intentionally simple: small rooms, senior peers, no presentations, no selling. Just time to work through what's changing — and what it means in practice.
In early 2026, we'll be hosting The Shift roundtables across London, Munich, Zurich, Amsterdam, Barcelona, and Copenhagen, in partnership with Zip.
These sessions are designed for CPOs and transformation leaders who are actively rethinking operating models — not as a future exercise, but as a current one.
More Buyers x Builders updates will follow soon.
